I believe that in therapy it is essential to create an atmosphere where you can feel comfortable to share your experiences and feelings.
Before starting, I conduct an initial assessment to determine the most appropriate course of therapy.
I also believe it’s crucial to tailor the treatment to suit your specific needs, choosing the most appropriate therapeutic approach in a collaborative manner.

Therefore, together we will develop the best treatment for you, establishing a clear and structured order of steps in the therapeutic process.

Why do I provide therapy in English?
I have always had a strong connection with the English Speaking community. Throughout my career, I studied Clinical Psychology at the Trinity College of Dublin and collaborated with universities in different countries.
Later on, during my residency in Clinical Psychology, I completed my training as a Yale University Intern at the Department of Psychiatry.
In fact, I am still involved in different projects with the Yale Department of Psychiatry.
Living and working in various countries has enriched my life and given me a deep understanding of the expat situation.
Today I see patients coming from countries like the United States, South Africa and the United Kingdom, to name a few, as well as others from diverse backgrounds.
What can you expect from therapy?
Be it couples therapy or trauma therapy, whenever you begin therapy in Madrid with our team of psychologists and psychiatrists, you can expect a safe and confidential space where your inner world can be explored with care and depth.
From the first session, we focus on understanding not only your current difficulties but also the emotional patterns and experiences that may lie behind them.
Through this process of exploration and reflection, therapy becomes a space to make sense of your feelings, relationships, and the ways you experience yourself.
Our team combines clinical expertise with international experience, offering therapy in English for people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
This allows you to express yourself freely and to explore personal experiences in the language that feels most natural to you.
Therapy helps you both manage your symptoms and understand what lies beneath them. Together, we work on developing practical tools to cope with daily challenges while also exploring the emotional roots that give those symptoms meaning.
This combination allows for real and lasting change. We are committed to providing a thoughtful, respectful environment where you can develop insight, resilience, and a more authentic connection to yourself and others.
Why offering therapy for expats?
I have lived in many other countries such as England, Germany, United States or even Brazil, which gave me a good understanding of what living abroad means. People, adults, families, and couples living abroad often experience the ups and downs of adapting to a new environment, facing emotional challenges and changes. Sometimes not being able to fully express yourself in your own language can be a challenge, especially when it comes to health issues and the problems that arise from these situations.
In psychotherapy, having a person with whom you can communicate without language barriers and who can understand your culture is tremendously important. Therapy can also support personal growth, helping you strengthen your relationship with your self and navigate the complexities of life abroad.
Benefits of therapy
Therapy offers a space to understand yourself more deeply and to bring certain patterns into awareness. Emotional difficulties often come from patterns and experiences that began long ago and continue to influence how we feel and relate to others today.
By exploring these patterns in a safe and supportive setting, you can begin to see the links between past and present, gaining insight that leads to greater self-acceptance, emotional freedom, and more authentic relationships. Therapy is not only about reducing symptoms—it’s about growing into a fuller, more connected version of yourself.
For many people living abroad, being able to receive therapy in English is essential to express emotions and experiences with nuance and depth. I offer therapy in English in Madrid, providing a space where you can speak freely and explore your inner world without the barrier of language. This helps create a genuine therapeutic connection and makes the process of self-discovery more natural and meaningful.
